Hoi,

Het hele weekend zo'n beetje bezig geweest om de usb driver voor KWT te installeren en werkend te krijgen.
In het overzicht de driver netjes te zien maar met een uitroep teken erbij, betekend dat de driver niet werkt.
De oorzaak zou zijn niet opgestart, het maakt niet uit of ik de Ergoracer koppeld of niet.
Ik heb het op 2-tal pc geprobeerd echter geen resultaat.
Is hier heel misschien iemand met ervaring in het installeren van de driver ?

first of all welcome here.

Here you have the installation guide (german) with screenshots -> Software Downloads

For the KWT buy version you need a second USB port of your pc (for the control panel) and the usb to serial driver for KWT > Software Downloads.

In the end your device manager should look as in the JPG.
Then KWT works with your Ergo Race.

Thanks for your quick response on my question and your welcome words.

Your answer is clear, but the problem is that my devicemanager not show that the drivers is correct installed, the error code = 10 and that means not start-up.
I did the installation just like the steps in the installation guide.
On internet I found more setup programms but the result is stil the same, i also tryed more pc's, XP & Vista, but both the same problem.

All I have done is with the Demo-version, I hope at the end of the month that I get the version 2.
I think you can understand I just wanna play already with the software and make some tours on my Ergoracer.
Maybe is the setup in 2.0 complete different and is my problem then fixed.

what OS do you use? when you plug in the ergo to the PC -> you should here a noise and then there should appear a yellow symbol in your device manager. Then go in device manager to the yellow symbol in connections Then open the driver file and execute the exe file.

Another possibility is your firewall-> because mine has the opinion the correct kettler driver is a threat...Shut it down for driver installing.

Can you make a screenshot of your device manager?

Try other usb ports! How long is your usb cable? Any USB-hubs between. When you get no yellow symbol when connected -> there is something wrong with your hardware -> usb Cable, ports...

So what OS do you use?

Thanks for your answers and advice.

I use here Vista on Toshiba Laptop, with 6x USB-orts, I try some of them, without any result.
The cable is 2 mtr and working fine on another device,my ports are also fine, I use the ports random with printer, mouse, usb-stick, etc

I also turn off the firewall, no effect.

When I plug in the Ergo on my pc is there no sound or any change on my pc ??

What do you mean with go to the devicemanagar and open the exe ?
Maybe3 good to know, to get the Devicedriver in the device manager i must do that by myself, step by stepas an old device.

What can life be easy, also today

I thought by myself your explanation that the problem must be hardware brings me on the idea to open the display.
Just for check the USB cable/plug or maybe something else.

On the printboard i can see the connector with discription USB, you don't believe it, but the cable of the USB plug wasn't in that connector.
So change the connector from another plug to the USB cnnector, connect my PC and see there the pc makes a sound and in the device manager I see the correct port and the KWT works!!!!

Direct start my favorite climb, The Mont Ventoux, wowwwwww, that works great !!!!!!

Anyway thanks for your answers and tips, you see it helps me much.

Almost 3 years later, now Windows 10, same problems.
Stil not getting the WT working, the problem looks the Joystick.
For the moment enough, maybe later this week another time more lucky.
