Hi guys,

For those who have been looking for an alternative to KWT but didn't want the hassle of trying to get Zwift to work, I downloaded the 14 day trial of Rouvy this evening.

Having used Zwift I can honestly say that this is much better (more realistic) and it works without any modifications for the Kettler Ergorace, Racer 9, Racer S.

It is definately worth a look...

I am using a desktop PC with not very high specification. It is running Windows 10. As my Racer S is from before 2017, I selected Racer S RS as the trainer.

I also had to reboot a few times before it would connect to my computer but eventually it did. I tried it and it works very well. The only problem I have is that as my Racer S doesn't have the gear shifters on it, I might have to use a wireless mouse with my computer so that I can click the + and - to change gear.

I have tried Zwift with a different trainer but I find it to be too much like a cartoon. Rouvy seems like more of a simulation and so I enjoy that a lot more.

I just thought of something... Do you have your bluetooth protocols correct? If you have the later Racer S I think that uses the newer bluetooth 4.0 to connect so you may need to check that your laptop's bluetooth adaptor is Bluetooth 4.0 and not the older bluetooth. When I first tried rouvy I tried it from my laptop using a USB to Bluetooth adaptor because my laptop is old and didn't have bluetooth. The adaptor was a bluetooth 4.0 and it wouldn't connect to my Racer S because the older one that I have uses Bluetooth 2.0.

I hope that you are able to get it working ok. Let me know.
